Overview
BareBudget is a super simple, privacy-first expense tracker. We designed it so that your data stays on your device and under your control. This Privacy Policy explains what information we (and the services we rely on) may handle when you use the BareBudget app and website.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No account or sign-in required.
- No personal identifiers are collected by the app.
- No analytics SDKs in the app.
Data Storage (App)
Expense data you enter in BareBudget is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app or its local data will remove your entries. We do not receive or store this data on our servers.
Website and Logs
The marketing website is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosting providers, GitHub Pages may log basic request information (such as IP address and user-agent) to operate and secure the service.
Third-Party Services
The website uses limited third-party resources to render fonts and styles:
- Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com, fonts.googleapis.com)
- Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com)
These providers may receive your IP address and user-agent when your browser requests their assets. We do not have access to, nor control over, their logs. Please review their respective privacy policies for details.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not set cookies or use third-party analytics on the website. No tracking pixels are used.
Children’s Privacy
BareBudget is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
